The deadline to request an absentee ballot is as follows:
The deadline for Regular Voters, Temporarily Overseas Voters, and Permanent Overseas Voters to request a ballot for the upcoming election is 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior to Election Day.
The deadline for Indefinitely Confined Voters, (those who have a hard time getting to the polls because of age, illness, infirmity of disability) to request a ballot for the upcoming election is 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to Election Day.
The deadline for Military Voters to request an absentee ballot is 8:00 pm on Election Day for elections that include a Federal contest and 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before Election Day for elections without federal contests.
The deadline to make an absentee request for the 4/7 election was 5pm on 4/3. If you select calendar year, you will not receive a ballot for 4/7 but will for future elections.

Voters, who have not previously submitted a copy of their acceptable photo ID for voting, need to send their municipal clerk a copy of their photo ID along with their absentee ballot request. Please follow these steps to submit your absentee ballot request:
Our records show that you do not have a photo ID on file with your municipal clerk. You will need to upload a copy of your acceptable photo ID for voting below. You can scan your ID or you can even use your phone or computer to take a picture. Your clerk cannot issue you an absentee ballot until they receive your acceptable ID. The clerk also cannot issue you a ballot if the ID you submit is not acceptable for voting purposes.

Please send an image of the front of your Wisconsin driver license, Wisconsin state ID card, Military ID card, Veteran’s ID card or U.S. Passport. There are also other photo ID’s that can be used for voting, please click here for the full list. Use the 'Add Files' button to find the file or photo of your photo ID on your computer or phone. DO NOT SUBMIT A SELFIE OR OTHER PORTRAIT OF YOURSELF- THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ID FOR VOTING. TO RECEIVE A BALLOT, YOU MUST UPLOAD AN ACCEPTABLE PHOTO ID FOR VOTING.
